Mutianyu is way less crowded than the more popular Badaling section, so this was the ideal tour for anyone who wants to actually enjoy walking the Great Wall instead of fighting crowds. The private hotel pick-up and drop-off inside the 5th Ring was so convenient, we didn’t have to figure out any confusing public transport at all. All entrance fees and the on-site shuttle are included in the price, which makes budgeting for the day super easy with no hidden extra fees.

My wife and I booked this tour as we met the minimum 2 traveler requirement, and we had a wonderful full day out. The private transport was clean and comfortable, the 1.5-hour drive from our central Beijing hotel didn’t feel long at all, and the hotel pick-up saved us so much time and hassle. The included on-site shuttle bus at Mutianyu is such a great inclusion, it saves you so much energy that you can spend more time enjoying walking the wall instead of tiring yourself out before you even get there. Lunch at the local family-run restaurant was way better than I expected, our local Beijing dish was delicious and very reasonably priced. The quick 20-minute photo stop at the Bird's Nest and Water Cube on the way back was a lovely unexpected touch. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Beijing, it’s great value for money and perfectly organized from start to finish.

My partner and I booked this tour as our first activity in Beijing, and it exceeded every expectation we had. Our English-speaking guide was fantastic—he answered all our questions about Chinese history and modern Beijing life, gave us great recommendations for dinners later in our trip, and even helped us sort out our cable car tickets when we decided to get one. Walking along the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall was absolutely breathtaking, with rolling green hills stretching out as far as the eye can see from every watchtower. The 20-minute photo stop at the Bird's Nest and Water Cube on the way back was the perfect end to the day, we got some great iconic photos that we never would have made time for on our own. For the price, this tour can’t be beaten, it’s well organized, stress free, and shows you the best of Beijing in one day.

I was so nervous about organizing a Great Wall trip on my own, but this tour took all the stress out of the day. The 1.5-hour drive from my hotel inside Beijing's 5th Ring was smooth and comfortable in the private transport, and our guide pointed out little local villages and scenic hills along the way that made the ride feel fun, not boring. The 4 hours of independent exploration was just the right amount of time—we walked for miles along the wall, stopping for photos at every stunning viewpoint, and never felt rushed. Lunch at the local restaurant was fresh and delicious, and the quick photo stop at the Bird's Nest and Water Cube on the drive back was such a nice surprise bonus. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Beijing, it’s the perfect way to see the Great Wall without any hassle.

Our English-speaking guide was so knowledgeable about the history of the Great Wall and gave us tons of great tips for the best photo spots during our 4 hours of exploration. The included on-site shuttle was such a relief after walking for hours, no need to haul yourself up the access road when you’re already tired.
