📖 Day-by-Day Itinerary

🌟 Day 1: Beijing

Once you arrive in Beijing, you'll meet your experienced tour leader and fellow travel companions to kick off your cross-China adventure. We'll take a leisurely orientation walk around the local neighborhood to help you get settled and oriented before turning in for the night. You'll stay at the comfortable, centrally located Dongfang Hotel Beijing for your first three nights 🏨.

🌟 Day 2: Beijing

Today we dive straight into Beijing's imperial history, starting with a stroll across expansive Tiananmen Square, the symbolic heart of both modern and ancient China. Next, we'll step inside the legendary Forbidden City, the walled imperial complex that housed Chinese emperors for nearly 500 years, where we'll explore gilded palaces, hidden courtyards and priceless ancient artifacts. A delicious lunch and dinner are included as part of your day 🍽️, before we head back to rest at Dongfang Hotel Beijing 🏨.

🌟 Day 3: Beijing

Today brings your long-awaited visit to the Great Wall of China, at the scenic, less crowded Mutianyu section. Mutianyu boasts well-preserved ancient watchtowers and sweeping mountain views, so you can hike along the wall at your own pace or simply stop to soak in the incredible vista of the wall winding across hilltops. After a full day of adventure, we'll head back to Beijing to spend another night at Dongfang Hotel Beijing 🏨.

🌟 Day 4: Beijing → Xi'an

We fly west today from Beijing to Xi'an, the ancient Silk Road capital that sits at the crossroads of Chinese history. After clearing customs and checking into our hotel, we'll take a casual orientation walk around the neighborhood to get you settled, then head to the bustling Muslim Quarter—Xi'an's most famous historic food street, where you can browse vibrant local stalls and soak up the lively atmosphere. You'll stay overnight at Xi'an's HNA Hotel 🏨.

🌟 Day 5: Xi'an

Today we set off on a guided tour of one of the world's most incredible archaeological wonders: the Terracotta Warriors, an army of thousands of life-sized clay soldiers built 2,000 years ago to guard Emperor Qin Shi Huang in the afterlife. Your expert guide will share fascinating stories and context about this UNESCO World Heritage Site, bringing the ancient army to life. After exploring the site, we'll sit down for a hearty, home-cooked lunch with a local Xi'an family, an authentic experience included with your tour 🍽️. We'll return to HNA Hotel to rest for the night 🏨.

🌟 Day 6: Xi'an → Chengdu

We travel south to Chengdu, the laid-back, food-loving capital of Sichuan province, via our included internal flight. After checking into our hotel, we'll take a gentle orientation walk to help you get a feel for this charming, tree-lined city. This evening, we'll gather as a group for a traditional Sichuan hotpot dinner, where you can sample the province's famous numbing-spicy flavors alongside your new travel friends 🍽️. You'll spend the night at Chengdu's Celebrity Ruicheng (Rongcheng) Hotel 🏨.

🌟 Day 7: Chengdu

Your final day of the tour brings the much-anticipated visit to the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Center, the world's leading facility for protecting endangered giant pandas. You'll wander through lush, natural enclosures to see pandas munching on fresh bamboo, playing, and napping in the cool mountain air, getting an unforgettable up-close look at these iconic gentle animals.
