I’ve been on dozens of group adventure tours, and this one is by far the best organized and most memorable I’ve ever taken. From my first inquiry, consultant Ethan at HelloChinaTrip answered all my questions about permits and altitude acclimatization quickly and clearly, which put all my worries at ease before the trip. Getting to watch the sun rise over the snow-capped Everest peak, after exploring Lhasa’s rich cultural sites, was a truly life-changing experience. I would recommend this intimate small group tour to any traveler ready for an unforgettable Western China adventure.

The small group cap of 15 travelers made this trip feel personal and relaxed, nothing like the overcrowded large tours I’ve joined in the past. Every stop was perfectly paced, from wandering the historic streets of Lhasa to stopping to soak in the incredible turquoise views of Yamdroktso Lake. This was the bucket list trip of my dreams, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

This 8-day Tibet small group adventure exceeded every single one of my expectations.

I was so excited to see Mount Everest on this trip, and the landscapes around Lhasa and Yamdroktso Lake were even more stunning than I imagined. The small group size was perfect, and our guide helped us acclimatize to the altitude really smoothly. Unfortunately, we had two days of heavy cloud cover that blocked the view of Everest’s peak, the main attraction I’d been looking forward to. All logistics were still well handled, and I still had an amazing time overall.

Our small group of 10 people meant we never felt crowded or rushed, which made exploring Lhasa’s ancient temples and the breathtaking Yamdroktso Lake so much more enjoyable. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about Tibetan history and culture, and all accommodation and transport was perfectly organized.
