The dramatic high-altitude scenery around Lhasa and Shigatse was even more beautiful than the photos I’d seen. The small group size made the whole trip feel intimate and flexible, not rushed like big coach tours.

Lynn from HelloChinaTrip handled all my Tibet permit paperwork ahead of time, so I never had to stress about planning logistics. Our small group of only 9 guests was perfect, and our guide’s deep knowledge of Tibetan history and culture made every stop feel meaningful. I left with a new appreciation for Tibet and lifelong travel friends.

I was nervous about altitude sickness before the trip, but the slow acclimatization schedule in Lhasa at the start worked perfectly for me. Every meal was delicious, and the guide always had great vegetarian options for me as requested. The timing of our Potala Palace visit avoided the biggest crowds, making the experience so much more peaceful and memorable. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking for an authentic Tibet adventure.

Unexpected heavy snow blocked a couple of our planned side stops near Shigatse, forcing a small itinerary adjustment, but everything else about the tour was wonderful.
